From April 2022, the National Living Wage for workers aged 23+ will be rising by 6.6%  to £9.50 – the Ministers have accepted the Low Pay Commission’s recommendation to increase the National Minimum Wage from £8.91. For workers aged 21-22, the National Minimum Wage will increase from £8.36 to £9.18.

The Government has said that the rise represents an increase of about £1,000 a year for a full-time worker.
