On Friday 16th September, Boris Johnson announced new measures to tackle the rise in Covid-19 cases. So, what are these new restrictions and how will they affect you?
The government have implemented a tier system in which every area has been given Covid-19 alert level with a corresponding tier based on the virus risk.
TIER 1: MEDIUM
Follow the Rule of Six if meeting inside or outside
Pubs and restaurants to shut at 10pm
TIER 2: HIGH No household mixing indoors Rule of Six applies outside Pubs and Restaurants to shut at 10pm
TIER 3: VERY HIGH No household mixing indoors or outdoors in hospitality venues or private gardens Rule of Six in outdoor public spaces, such as parks Pubs and bars not serving meals will be closed Guidance against travelling in and out of the area
