Initially introduced in July 2020, the Stamp Duty Holiday meant that if you are buying a home up to the value of £500,000 you will not pay any stamp duty.

On March 03 during the 2021 Financial Budget, Rishi Sunak announced that the Stamp Duty Holiday will be extended to 30 June 2021. From there, the nil rate band will be £250,000 until the end of September 2021 where it will then return to the usual threshold of £125,000.
